Operation Slumber Party

Josh About

I don’t know how anyone could not be moved by this face.  This beautiful face of a child who lost a battle with cancer at too young of an age.

My friend Ellie decided to help out with a celebration and charity event to honor Josh.

Josh spent much of his life at the Children’s Hospital and used to swipe the nurses’ flashlights to play with under his pillow and covers.  His family and Ellie decided to Light Up the Night with Operation Slumber Party to sew 1000 playful and colorful flannel pillowcases and collect hundreds of flashlights for the children at Children’s Hospital.

Ambitious?  Perhaps, but I think of this as the equivalent to 1000 origami cranes bringing luck.

Please join in the fun, as there are so many ways you can help out!  Check it out here!

LBJ Exhibition

It may be political season but we’re not talking about Lyndon Baines Johnson, but rather Chanel’s Little Black Jacket Exhibit that opens in Sydney, Australia after showing in several other cities, including New York City in June 2012.

The exhibition features Karl Lagerfeld’s photographs of celebrities and personalities wearing the iconic Chanel jacket.
