Something Old, Something New

My friend Nichole started making jewelry for herself a few years ago.  Quite frequently, she would be asked where she got that necklace or earrings, so she started making one-of-a-kind pieces for her friends.  After some encouragement, she decided to start a business.

Her jewelry line is made up of vintage and current elements.  In fact, some of the vintage elements have stories behind them.  She made a gorgeous necklace for me that included some out-of-circulation European coins (since replaced by the Euro), as well as bits and pieces of metal that look insignificant by themselves, but when she weaves them into a necklace…gorgeous.

Check out her in-progress website, unRefined Jewelry, to get a sense of her work.  And know that if you have a family heirloom or memento that you want integrated into a custom piece, that is the work she loves most.
