Sticks and Stones

Last summer, Summer of Summer Harsh Botanical Artistry (this is a lot of summer in one sentence) and I were commiserating about stones.   The shape, size and color.  We both happened to have events integrating stone at that time.

I hadn’t seen any photos until Erica Loeks sent over images from the wedding – beautiful!

I love her use of succulents in the bridal bouquet, as it is unexpected.  The mix of texture creates a lot of visual interest.

Summer was mostly excited about the cupcake stands she was making out of vases and stone.  It turned out pretty well, don’t you think?

Thank you to Erica Loeks Photography for the beautiful images.

Something New to Crave

Although Crave Catering has been in operation just a little bit over a year now, last night was their debutante ball, as you will.

Whenever a restaurant starts a catering division, it can be challenging from a branding and from a menu offering.  Execution is different and so is the audience.

With the building success of Crave restaurants, their clientele wanted to be able to have them increase the types and size of events they were able to execute.  And it would appear that the demand is there.

The launch party showcased sushi, paella station, crepe station and a dessert buffet.  I love that Crave Catering is able to offer a crepe station as quite a few caterers refuse to offer it.

With brand colors being a turquoise – aqua blue, white and gray, we took the design to reflect their “fresh vibrant events” tagline.

Apres Party & Tent Rental did an amazing job with the decor and followed the design to a tee.  Not an easy achievement turning the Smile Network’s offices into an “event space”.  I love the gorgeous linens and all the white draping.  Not to mention the pretty white floor to cover the pinkish brown carpeting. Beautiful!

Thank you to Kelly Brown Weddings for capturing the look perfectly!

Sheree (from Apres), in the gray, cleans up nice!  She spent the whole day setting up and showed up at the party so elegant!

Just Bloomed provided gorgeous football mums attached to manzanita branches with origami cranes to hang over the sushi station.  And a vase with peonies and signage from Mi Mi Design complete the sushi table.

Don’t you love the ice columns from Ice Occasions?  They were lit up in aqua and Summer Harsh Botanical Artistry set a fun rose bowl with twirling orchids.

The milk and mini cookies signified a good night!

Breathtaking by Bungalow 6 Design

Todd Pinzuti of Bungalow 6 Design knows how to make an impression.  His sleek aesthetic translates so well and his creativity keeps clients delightfully surprised.

Pinzuti transformed a typical ballroom and created a stunning space with lighting, draping and furnishings.  What he manages to do time and time again is to envision all the possibilities that a space can be transformed.

A Different Kind of Red, White & Blue

As a tribute to the Fourth of July, I decided to post a couple of Style Boards that have red, white and blue. Although, it isn’t the traditional color combination, it definitely works for events and weddings!
